About Our Company
Walker's Draperies is a family owned custom window treatment business with an on-site sewing workroom. We are located in Durham, North Carolina on Broad Street (see map page for details). Our showroom hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am - 1:00pm. Our showroom displays over 1,000 in stock drapery fabrics, window treatment designs, wood blinds/shutters, drapery hardware, custom furniture, pictures/mirrors and accessories. Walker's provides free in-home window consultations and estimates in the Triangle area. We also offer interior design consultations, which include interior finish selection, furniture placement, and accessory selection, at an hourly rate. After an order is placed, the project is fabricated on-site by our talented seamstresses. Each of our seamstresses has at least 15 years of experience in the window treatment business. If the fabric is in stock, it takes approx. 3 weeks to create (**does not include month of November or December). Once the project is complete, we provide professional installers to install your window treatments.
